If you’re looking for a mysterious Ubuntu menu item called “Shared Folders”, found in:

System -> Administration -> Shared Folders

Here’s a fix:

1. Right click the menu bar, select “Edit Menus”
2. Select the “Administration” menu
3. Click “New Item”:
   • Name: Shared Folders
   • Command: shares-admin

For some reason it was either deleted or bugged in Intrepid Ibex (8.10) for me.
